I had the absolute pleasure of being Briana and Tom’s wedding photographer at the stunning Temple House in Sligo, Ireland. The couple chose to spend their entire day in this enchanting venue, starting with their preparations right there on-site. Temple House, a historical gem, provided a magical setting for their special day.
A Glimpse into Temple House’s History
Temple House, a Georgian mansion nestled in the heart of County Sligo, dates back to the 1600s. The estate is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, including a serene lake and sprawling gardens. Once home to the Knights Templar, it carries centuries of history within its walls. The interiors are filled with character, featuring elegant drawing rooms, antique decor, and large windows that allow natural light to flood in, making it an ideal venue for a wedding.
The Wedding Day
The weather added a unique charm to the day, with clouds looming overhead and the occasional shower, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for indoor photography. The ceremony took place inside the venue, officiated by the award-winning celebrant Enda Harte, who brought warmth and a personal touch to the ceremony as a Spiritualist Union of Ireland officiant.
After the ceremony, we made the most of the beautiful grounds for some outdoor shots. Despite the light rain, Briana and Tom were relaxed, having a great time and full of smiles throughout our session. Their ease and joy made capturing their love and connection effortless, and we created some truly stunning images in the picturesque gardens and historic surroundings of Temple House.
