The fun-filled wedding of Jennifer and Daniel
It would be fun, I thought, when Daniel and Jennifer approached me for their wedding album at Landmark Hotel. They planned a simple and laid-back wedding with their close friends and relatives in Ireland. They wanted to enjoy their wedding. So we planned a casual album to capture their love and spirit.
It began with Clancy’s Pub
There is something about this whitewashed building that caught my fancy, so I couldn’t resist using its image as the opening photo of the wedding album of Jennifer and Daniel. Clancy’s Pub was established way back in 1876. Its vintage look is so photogenic! Since Daniel’s parents own it, we began our photoshoot from here.
Introducing the groom
Daniel got ready in his parents’ place. Since I wanted something different for this wedding album, I began it with the groom. Daniel looked handsome in his wedding attire. And when he stood in front of the vintage Volkswagen Beetle car with the name of Dan and Jen, that image became timeless.
Let’s go to the wedding
I quickly wrapped up the shoot with Daniel as Jennifer was waiting for me at their wedding venue. The Landmark Hotel in Carrick on Shannon is really a landmark! The white towering building is so elegant. The wedding venue was decorated colorfully with flowers and candles. I loved the airy and sunlit décor. You can check the photos of the venue. They look so cheerful.
Are you getting impatient to meet the bride? Here we go. Jennifer, a beautiful lady with a gorgeous smile, welcomed us. Her mom helped her with the dress. Her bridesmaids were there, helping her when needed. I loved to click these lovely ladies.
Jen, known lovingly by her friends, wore a stunning white wedding gown. She matched it with a pearl necklace. To contrast her attire, she chose a colorful bouquet. Just see her photos, and you will know how resplendent she looked.
Jen’s father, in traditional Scottish attire, got emotional when he met her. I was lucky to have captured these poignant moments with my cameras. Let’s move to the wedding hall where Dan was waiting for his Jen.
The couple took their wedding vows and sealed them with a kiss amidst their friends and relatives.
It’s time to chill
After the wedding, we headed back to the pub to take group family photos. It was so fun capturing the whole family in one frame. As everybody cracked jokes and pulled each other’s legs, I managed some hilarious shots. Of course, there was beer to relax.
Time for romance
The Knockvicar Bridge is an old favorite of mine. I like its look and serenity. Together with the River Boyle, it creates the perfect backdrop for romantic photos. Against the bridge and river, I took several snaps of the newlyweds. I used my drone to capture the entire area too. These photos have come out so well!
The promenade near the Landmark Hotel had captured my fancy. So, I took Daniel and Jennifer there after the meal. While the setting sun painted the sky in myriad hues, I captured Jen and Dan getting intimate. Seeing these photos, everybody would want to fall in love again.
Party time folks!!
Back at the hotel, a grand reception was waiting for everybody. There was a huge cake and a sumptuous dinner. The real action began when everyone went to the dance floor. There was so much fun and frolic. The atmosphere was electrifying, and as the wedding photographer, I had a blast capturing the candid shots.
The night finally came to an end. I don’t remember if I have ever photographed such a lively wedding. I hope you will love these photos and wish Jen and Dan loads of fun, love, and laughter.
