Áine & Laurence Wedding in Belleek Castle, Ballina

The wedding of Áine and Laurence was meant to be perfect – clear skies, great weather, and everything according to schedule. As a Mayo wedding photographer, I had a fabulous time covering the entire event!

Taking the first step…

Laurence was all smiles as he got ready in his parent’s house – there was no hint of nervousness as his brother, also the best man, helped him get dressed. However, he had a celebratory drink with his family to mark the start of a wonderful journey he would embark upon in a few hours. Áine was at her parents as well, as she decked up for a new chapter in life with her soon-to-be-husband.  Her white gorgeous wedding gown had sheer detailing that enhanced its appeal, while she opted for silver stilettos. With a bit of help, her hair and makeup was done, and she looked stunning to say the least!

Pre-wedding photo shoot

Laurence was waiting to take her to Lacken Beach for a pre-wedding photo shoot – it is located near to the Church of St Patrick and St Cummin, which was the wedding ceremony. The clicks came out superb – the happiness was evident on their faces as they posed for the camera! A bit of shyness combined with excited smiles is how I would describe these pictures.

Time to say “I do”

Soon it was time to head to the church. It was tastefully decorated to suit the overall theme –subtle yet elegant. The ceremony was a small affair with close family members and friends. It was absolutely lovely to watch them read vows, exchange rings, and finally share their first kiss as man and wife with joyous expressions!

…and it begins!

Once the ceremony was over, the couple went to Belleek Castle in Ballina for the reception. The structure exuded a rustic vibe, which looked really impressive in photos. The cake was in white and embellished with pink flowers, while the cupcakes were also designed using these colors. The entire arrangement looked serene with a soothing aura – exactly what Laurence and Áine wanted!

A happy life together!

It was time for some fun now! As you can see, the newlyweds confidently posed in the gardens of the Belleek castle wedding venue – the lush greenery and imposing castle were the ideal backdrop as it mirrored their emotions in a beautiful manner. Just look how they can’t stop smiling! I finished up with a few clicks with family and friends, which included the bridesmaids and groomsmen.
