Emma & Joseph Wedding in Clayton Hotel, Sligo

Wedding of Emma and Joseph – When families come together to unite two souls

There is nothing that beats the joy of two souls that have found each other coming together for marriage. The love between two people not just brings them together, but also brings families and friends together in a truly beautiful way. That is the best thing about love. It does not just nurture the two people in the relationship but nurtures everyone and everything around us. It brings us companionship, friendship and a partner in crime with whom you can share your happiness, sadness, quirkiness, and vulnerabilities without any inhibitions.

I, as Sligo photographer, was lucky enough to witness all this on the wedding day of Emma and Joseph.

Wedding at the St. Anne’s Church – A beautiful ceremony

Emma and Joseph had their wedding ceremony at St. Anne’s Church in Sligo, Ireland. Here, they exchanged vows and promised to be with each other for the rest of their lives. St. Anne’s is an old church that began in the 1950s. It is known for its architectural beauty everywhere. Located on the east side of the Sligo town, just on the southern bank of the Garavogue River, St. Anne’s church is a tranquil, quaint and gorgeous place for a wedding ceremony.

Pre-wedding preparations at the Clayton Hotel, Sligo

While Emma spent the day getting ready at her house, Joseph got ready at the beautiful Clayton Hotel in Sligo. The Clayton hotel is a stunning building with wonderfully designed exterior dating back to the 19th century. The scenic surroundings and the picturesque lawns with the Benbulben Mountain on the horizon were perfect for our pre-wedding photo shoot.  It was a rainy day and so we decided to do the test shots in the hotel room. Joseph was getting in his room ready with his best man and his son. Just before heading out of the room, Joseph’s mother pinned a flower to his jacket blessing him on his special day.

The ceremony was a beautiful union of two souls that were not only lucky to have found each other but were clearly made for each other. Emma and Joseph’s wedding day was beautiful and filled with love. I wish the happy couple my best wishes and a very happy married life.
